Q: Who is behind the development?

A: We are the Connective team, currently composed of Cristian Fiochetti and JoaquĆ­n Nigro.

Q: Why is this app free?

A: We want Connective to be as accessible as possible. To sustain our infrastructure and ongoing development, we display advertisements within the App.

Q: How can I remove these ads?

A: By subscribing to Connective Plus, you directly support the project and enjoy an ad-free experience.


Discovery & Filters

Q: How do I find out what's happening?

A: Explore the feed or use the Map View. Connective organizes events and activities based on your location and preferences.

Q: What is the Map View?

A: The Map View displays events according to your current location, configured search radius, and selected topics.


Q: What does it mean if an event is sponsored?

A: Sponsored events receive higher visibility, including priority placement in the feed and a highlighted event card.


Meetups

Q: How can I create meetups?

A: Simply tap the orange circular button at the bottom of the main screen and follow the assistant. While fields like photos or tags are optional, they make your meetup more attractive and easier to find.

Q: Can I create recurring meetups?

A: Yes, this feature is available for Connective Plus subscribers. You can schedule meetups every 7, 14, or 28 days. The system automatically handles the re-scheduling about 10-15 minutes after the current meetup concludes.

Q: Is there a limit on creating meetups?

A: Users without a subscription can create up to four (4) meetups every 30 days (including past events). Upgrade to Connective Plus to remove this limit.

Q: Why don't I see any meetups?

A: Meetups are shown based on your search radius. You can adjust this in Settings -> Location and Distance. Connective Plus users can set a wider radius and change their search location manually.

Q: Why can't I join a meetup?

A: If the "I'm in" button is missing, it could be because:

Q: Can I delete a meetup?

A: If you are the creator, you can delete it at any time (including past ones) via the context menu (top right corner) on the meetup details page.

Q: Can I report a meetup?

A: Yes. Any user can report inappropriate or illegal content through the context menu on the meetup details page.

Q: What do the labels "Approved," "Pending Review," and "Blocked" mean?

A: They indicate the moderation status of a meetup:


Chats

Q: How do I create a chat?

A: Chats are generated automatically whenever a meetup is created. You will see the chat once you join or create an event.

Q: Why can't I send a message?

A: You can only message in active chats. Once the meetup expires, the chat enters read-only mode.

Q: What do the checks on messages mean?

A: One empty check: Sent to the server. Filled check: Processed and notification sent to participants (does not guarantee they have read it).


Moments

Q: What are Moments?

A: Shared memories from past meetups to commemorate experiences with the community.

Q: How do I create a Moment?

A: Moments are created from past meetups. Tap "Create" on the Moments page or use the option within the details of a past event.

Q: Can Moments be private?

A: Yes. Private moments are only visible to the participants of that specific meetup. This feature is included in Connective Plus or available by watching an ad.


Users

Q: Can I remove users from my meetups?

A: Yes. As a creator, swipe a participant's name from right to left in the attendee list to remove them.

Q: Can I report a user?

A: Yes. Swipe a participant from left to right to report behavior that violates community standards.

Q: What happens when a user is reported?

A: Users with 5 or more reports may be temporarily blocked for 30 days or permanently banned following moderator review.

Q: Can I rate users?

A: Yes, use the "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" icons in the participant list to provide feedback on your experience with them.
