Here you will find help and answers to the most common questions about Connective (the App).
A: We are the Connective team, for now only formed by two people: Cristian Fiochetti and Joaquín Nigro.
A: We want the App to be accessible to everyone, as much as possible. But on the other hand, we need to maintain the infrastructure and the development of the App, that's why we show advertisements inside the App.
A: As we mentioned in the previous answer, we need to maintain the infrastructure and development of the App, that's why we show ads inside the App. But if you subscribe to Connective Plus, you also help us to maintain the App and you will not be shown ads.
A: Just click on the round orange button at the bottom of the screen and follow the wizard to fill in the data. Some fields are optional, such as the photo or tags, but they make the reunion more attractive to other users and make it easier to find.
A: Only if you have Connective Plus. In that case you will see the option while you are creating the reunion to schedule it every 7, 14 or 28 days. The system will automatically create the reunion for you, copying all its details, but not including the current participants. The automatic creation usually happens 1 to 2 hours after the current reunion has passed.
A: If you are not subscribed to Connective Plus you can only create up to four (4) reunions every 30 days. That includes the reunions that have already passed. If you want to remove that limit you can try Connective Plus.
A: On the main Reunions page or in each category or
when searching for reunions on the search page, you will see only
reunions within your search range. You can change this in
Settings -> Location and distance
. And, if you are
subscribed to Connective Plus, you can increase the
search range even more and change the location in which you want to
search for reunions.
A: If you go into the details of a reunion and don't see the “I want to go” button, it may be for one of the following reasons:
A: If you are the creator of the reunion, you can delete it at any time, even past reunions. To do this you must use the contextual menu located in the upper right corner, on the reunion details page.
A: Yes, any user can report a reunion if he/she considers that the content is inappropriate, illegal or any other situation that deserves it. To do this you must use the contextual menu located in the upper right corner, on the reunion details page. Complete the form specifying the reason for which the reunion is being reported.
A: Yes, if you previously reported the reunion and you believe that you reported the reunion erroneously, you can undo it, also using the context menu located in the upper right corner, on the reunion details page.
A: In principle it is a warning to the rest of the users that there is something they should be careful about. And if the reunion is reported 5 times or more by different users, it is blocked until it is reviewed by our moderators. If the moderators consider that it was correctly reported, they can even delete the reunion without notice.
R: This is the review status of the reunion according to our moderators. Keep in mind that, even if approved, anything that happens in the reunion is the ABSOLUTE responsibility of the participants.
A: You can't. Chats are created automatically when a reunion is created. If you choose to attend a reunion created by someone else you will see the corresponding chat on the Chats page.
A: The Chats page shows the chats of active reunion up to one (1) day after the date of the reunion has passed. After that time, the chat will disappear from the list. If you want to see the chat of a past reunion after that time, just go to the reunion details and access the chat.
A: You can only write messages in active chats, once the chat time expires, the chat is in read-only mode.
A: Press and hold the message you want to reply to for a few moments and the selected message will appear above the typing field.
A: An empty check means that the message was sent to our servers. A full check means that the message was successfully processed by our servers and the notification was sent to other users. But it does NOT mean that users have received the notification or that they have read it.
A: For now it is not supported. Only text messages can be sent. But we are working on adding that in the future.
A: If you are the reunion creator, you can delete users at any time. To do this, on the reunion details page (or from the Chat details), you can view the participants. Scroll the participant you want to delete from right to left to remove him/her and confirm the deletion.
A: Yes, any user can report another user within the reunions they participate in. To do this, on the reunion details page (or from the Chat details), you can view the participants. Scroll the participant you want to report from left to right to report him/her, fill in the form and confirm the report.
A: Yes, if you previously reported the user and you think you reported it wrongly, you can undo it, following the same steps you did to report it.
A: The idea is to keep Connective a respectful community. If a user exhibits disrespectful or inappropriate behavior, the rest of the users can choose to report him/her. When a user is reported 5 or more times, a ban is set that prevents the user from using the application for 30 days or until the moderators lift the ban. Moderators can even delete an account without notice if they deem it appropriate.
A: Yes, any user can rate another user within the reunions they participate in. To do this, on the join details page (or from the chat details), you can view the participants. Use the “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” buttons to rate them.
A: Voting a user is different from reporting them. For example, a positive vote should be applied when a user organizes a good reunion or use a negative vote if you think it is poorly organized. It is a simple way to let the rest of the community know the rating of a user.
